ABOUT

American soprano, Martha Hellermann, is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A singer of great versatility, Martha has performed roles from the operatic and musical theater genres as well as oratorio repertoire. Her recent engagements include Soprano Soloist in Schubert's Mass in G Minor with Sacra Nova Chorale, Soprano Soloist in Mozart's Requiem with Shorewood Choral Arts Society. Recent operatic roles include Miss Jessel in Turn of The Screw, Younger Alyce in Glory Denied and Anna Gomez in The Consul with Boston Conservatory, Isolier in Le Comte Ory, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Josephine in HMS Pinafore, and Soprano 2 in Hydrogen Jukebox with Lawrence University. Additionally she has performed the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Oberlin in Italy and scenes as Despina from Cosí fan tutte with Cincinnati Conservatory's summer opera studio. Other oratorio work includes soprano soloist in Handel's Messiah with Lawrence University choirs and orchestra as well as in Schumann's Requiem and Mozart's Regina Coeli in C Major with Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra. Martha graduated with her Master of Music in Opera Performance from Boston Conservatory in Spring of 2020. She now works for the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music as a vocal arts faculty member and performs locally in Milwaukee.
